- Existing Schreiberei Team Opens Pop-Up Restaurant "Bar Tatar" in Munich's Hofstatt
- Opening of the second restaurant concept "Schreiberei" planned for summer
- Food concept developed by Tohru Nakamura together with Tom Heeg, the new chef de cuisine at the Schreiberei
- Opening "Bar Tatar" on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 6 p.m.
- April only: Pop-up planned during the weeks of April. General opening hours: Monday to Thursday from 6 pm
Until the second restaurant concept is completed in the summer of 2022, all guests will be able to enjoy a culinary foretaste of what they will be able to experience in the Schreiberei in the future, starting on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. While the renovation and conversion work is progressing at Dienerstraße 20, there will be a very special kind of pop-up restaurant in a very special location of the Munich Hofstatt (Sendlinger Straße 12a, 80331 Munich): "I am very pleased that my partners from KaffeeWerk immediately agreed to make their premises available to the Schreiberei team during the evening hours. That's how I imagine teamwork. During the day, we will continue to serve great coffee from our own sustainable roasting, delicious focaccia, and cakes and pastries. In the evening, we look forward to hopefully many guests in the Bar Tatar. Our special thanks also go to the Hofstatt management, who supported our project very quickly and without complications," says Marc Uebelherr, Managing Director of Schreiberei.
"Our plans for the opening of the Schreiberei were unfortunately affected by the aftermath of the pandemic and the resulting supply shortages for raw materials and trades. Therefore, we are now trying to make a virtue out of this hardship and would still like to give our guests a little insight into the world of the Schreiberei as quickly as possible," explains Tohru Nakamura, Executive Chef as well as Managing Director of the Schreiberei.
But the guests of the "Bar Tatar" will not only be offered something special on the plate, but of course also in the glass. The team around the restaurant manager and sommelier of the Schreiberei, Max Haußmann, as well as operations manager Stephan Fobo and his deputy Fabian Post will make sure of that. In addition to the Schreiberei's champagne partner "Veuve Cliquot", there will be other selected white, rosé and red wines. In addition, bar manager David Lindner will create two "signature drinks" especially for the Bar Tatar. "We look forward to welcoming our guests, whether they drop by spontaneously after work or make a reservation in advance. Whether with friends, work colleagues* or family - we welcome everyone to our Bar Tatar," says operations manager Stephan Fobo full of anticipation. Bar Tatar" seats around 25 guests indoors and 20 guests on the terrace in front of the restaurant. A "to go" offer is not planned for the time being.
